Dream Home

Never in his wildest dreams did he believe what was happening at that moment.  The real estate agent handed him the keys.

"It's all yours," she said.
"Thank you very much for your time, mam."
She sat down in her car and said, "Enjoy," as she closed the door and backed out.

Almost 2,000 square feet with more rooms than he needed.  More kitchen than required.  More yard than he cared to mow.  It was all his.  The home even came stocked with new dishes and cookware.  The previous owner left a shiny new stainless steel surprise out on the back deck.  It had to be the biggest grill he'd ever seen.  A note from the agent on the stainless fridge said, "Steaks are on us."  He opened the refrigerator and voila, four large inch-thick rib-eyes.

"Darlin'?  Get a salad going.  We're eating in tonight," he said.

Beep-beep-beep...

His eyes popped open.  Shit, he thought.  He slapped the snooze button and hoped to get back to that steak dinner.
